Eldoret diocese bishop Dominic Kimengich has ordained sixteen deacons in a historic mass held at the sacred heart of Jesus pavilion.
Bishop Kimengich stated that since the inception of the diocese that is the highest number of deacons the diocese has ever ordained.
He attributed it to his predecessor late Cornelius Korir whom he said was the pioneer of the vocation in the diocese and called upon the newly ordained deacons to offer their service to humanity instead of dwelling on the eathly things.
He further urged them to inculcate good virtues to the society which he stated that has been infiltrated with negative virtues and it is only through their prayers and dedication that will change the society.
Present at the mass was bishop emeritus Maurice Anthony Crowley and Eldoret auxiliary bishop John Kiplimo Lelei
