Political leaders have been encouraged to use the leadership skills to focus on uniting Kenyans instead of politicking. Speaking at St. Mathias Matungu County Polythenic at the 25th anniversary of mother Alexandria Khalatanyi who was one of the honored people, the bishop of Kakamega diocese Joseph Obanyi said that the issues of development are for all people and not for those who elected them in the last general election of August 9 this year, but for all, stating that , Kenyans enjoys their democracy. He has asked the leaders to be a good example to the locals and to maintain a good neighborhood so that they too can have respect that will last even after the end of their leadership. the Bishop encouraged politicians to deliver on their campaign pledges and preach peace among the citizens in order to avert tribalism which is bedeviling the counrtyy At that time, Bishop Obanyi has stressed the need for family members to maintain and ensure their families last through prayer every time which he said will give them the best guidance in life. Likewise, the bishop emphasized that Christians should be compassionate for others, stressing that this will lead them well on the way to inheriting the kingdom of heaven.
